BizSpark India Startup Challenge provides you with a platform that encourages the entrepreneurial success with a winning idea. It helps the entrepreneurial talent in the technology industry by identifying and promoting the startups with a promising solution in focus areas of the services.
This time with the 4th edition, BizSpark goes bigger with innovation and impact across the country. BizSpark India Startup Challenge 2015 will be held across 15 cities of India culminating into a grand finale at Bangalore in January 2015.
Here is the Judging Criterion for the Challenge:
On the basis of Merit of Innovation, Market Potential and Compelling story, the Participant’s Business Plan and the apps submitted will be judged. Now, let us understand the criterion in details:
Merits of innovation: It is known that innovative spirit has shaped the past 35 years of business at Microsoft. While the interest of the challenge is more into ideas that will impact the future of Mobile Application, Cloud Computing and Application on Windows 8 business, the most important thing that will decide the winner is your creativity, ingenuity and innovation intrinsic to your business plan.
Market potential: This is another judging criterion which means that your product or service scale should address a sizable market?
Compelling Story and Management capabilities: Your team must have the ability to articulate a vision and execute the business plan.
Challenge is open to all persons who are 18 years or older and who are citizens or legal residents in India and should be a part of BizSpark Community.Contestants may only submit one business plan.
Participants with the following product/IP startup shall be entitled to participate in the challenge (“Participant”).Product/IP Startup that are:
Set up as an entity that is privately held
Less than five years old
With annual sales of less than US $1M annually
Leveraging Microsoft technologies to create impact in the marketplace
The startup must be at least Mobility based or Cloud technology based Startups need to submit the nomination through the registration page at www.BizSparkStartupChallenge.com. However, before submitting the nomination, startups need to enroll in Microsoft BizSpark program. It takes 7-10 business days for Microsoft to review, validate and approve your BizSpark application.
As a participant you must have obtained any and all consents, approvals or licenses required and Microsoft is not responsible for Participants breach of any third party intellectual property. Also, the entry must not otherwise violate the rights of any other person or company by using their trademarks, music, logos, names or images without their express written consent.
Remember, Apps that were shortlisted for presentation in final rounds in any prior BizSpark grant challenges are not eligible
